Mean Tweets

This is the funniest thing I've seen all week--celebs on Jimmy Kimmel reading nasty tweets about themselves...my fav is the musician 2Chains who read a tweet about himself: "@2Chains...looks like Whoopi Goldberg #truuuu" hahah.

Loving Now!

I hope all my friends in the southern areas of the country are doing okay with all the snow, cold weather, and ice! Here in Denver, we are getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday, and I personally am getting ready for a week filled with skiing with my Dad!

Here are a few things I am loving this week!

1) While I'm not generally one for a one-piece swimsuit, this Jessica Simpson Collection tubetop one-piece is so flattering and cute! I love the ruffled detail and the sweetheart neckline. Via

2) Recently I have noticed that a LOT of people use this Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray, and I'm pretty sure I need to get my hands on a bottle of it. It's supposed to keep your makeup fresh and in place all day long. Via

3) This may just be the perfect LBD! I love the shoulder mesh-cutout design, and it's incredibly flattering. At just $19.80, it's definitely the perfect price. This would be great for a Valentine's Day dinner date...if you're planning on doing that sort of thing ;-)

4)  I think this dainty feather wrap bangle is gorgeous. I would slip this on all the time, and it would go with just about everything. Via

5) I pretty much always have my nails painted a light beige/pale pink color...if I had more of an artistic bone in my body, and longer nails,  I would love to have one of these funky nail designs...

Mix just a small amount of cornstarch to your polish to make it matte. Apply quickly or else it will start to get clumpy. It may feel like it applies weird and clumpy but as it dries it will smooth itself out. (tip: the more cornstarch the more matte it will turn out!) enjoy!!!

6)  This outfit. Everything about it.

7) With all of this wet and slushy snow, I think a pair of these L.L. Bean Women's Tumbled-Leather boots would be a great treat for my feet! These are a little different than their traditional weather boot, and I think you could get a lot of wear out of them in non-snow-weather...I've also heard they last a lifetime..

 8) This Makeup Artist's blog is one that I keep going back to. It is soo fun to view her makeup tutorial videos...I am especially loving this one where she transforms into a supermodel (though she is already very pretty to begin with)...it's incredible what a little makeup (and a lot of technique) and hair can do...Here

 9) I just purchased this Revlon PhotoReady Foundation (in Nude) and it's already my favorite thing in my makeup bag (other than my mascara). You only need a tiny pump and it really gives your face an airbrushed look. It's incredibly long lasting, and the coverage is amazing. It also keeps your face perfectly moisturized (read: not greesey or flakey).

 10) Finally, one last thing I'm loving now, is the Sunday New York Times paper that gets delivered to my front door...really nothing more important than being an informed citizen...and I enjoy drinking a cup of tea and reading the paper on Sundays (I read a few different news sources online each day as well...but the smell and feel of a real paper, nothing compares).

Weekend Recap & SUPERBOWL BABY!

I had SUCH a blast of a weekend! My friend Jacqui from college and a few other Miami girls were in town and we had such a good time around town.

On Thursday night the girls flew in, and I met them for a late dinner at Margs!

Jacqui and I!
I spent a bunch of time cuddling this sweet girl!!!

On Friday night I met up with the girls for a great dinner at Vita followed by a fun night at Forrest Room 5--a bar in lo-hi. I wore this dress I got at H&M a few years ago, love the colors.

Dinner was delicious at Vita, and the conversation was great.  It was the eve of Elizabeth's birthday (in green) so we took celebrating very seriously :-)....Bridgit hates pics!

This is the epitome of Jacqui & I:

On Saturday morning, I met up with my friends Erica & Mae for a brunch at Ale House.  I wore my pink sparkly TOMS and they got the attention of a lot of little girls :-)

Sunday morning I woke up bright and early and hit the road for Breckenridge to ski with the girls.  It was an easy breezy drive, which I totally was not expecting (generally there is horrible traffic). I think because of the Broncos big game people stayed in town.

Sunday night, when I got back to Denver, I ordered Sushi because I was absolutley starving after a full morning & afternoon of skiing. It was delicious!

OOOOOHHH YEAH, and how about that Broncos win?!!! I probably should get on buying at least a Broncos T-Shirt at this point :-)

haha that cracked me up!

On Monday, I had off from work and it was a fully-packed and productive day. I hit up Costco for a few things, went to the car wash to get my Jetta detailed, worked out, went to Carmax to get an appraisal, and then went and test drove a few new cars.  I am in the market, so I'm looking forward to getting a car with AWD soon!

Probably the most scenic Costco in the world!

Cooked up this fabulous dinner for Monday night!

Test drove this beauty!

I'm looking forward to the rest of this week, and can't wait to hit up the Rodeo this Saturday for my first time ever! I am thinking of also going skiing on Sunday! About 1-week until my Dad gets here woohooo!!

Wednesday Ramblings

Well I am welcoming this Wednesday with open arms...primarily because it means that my three-day weekend is getting amazingly close! It also means that I get to see one of my best friends from college, Jacqui, tomorrow, Friday, and Sunday!!

Last night I had a blast with Elise, Mae, and Erica when they came over for dinner at my house. We drank some wine/prosecco, ate some veggie Lasagna, and had some of the most random conversations I've had in a long time! It's great to have awesome girl friends!

I also spent a little quality time with this cutie of course:

Tonight I am finally getting the rat's nest that is my hair trimmed up. I pretty much get the same haircut every time I go, but #longhairdontcare! I am then going to go see a friend for a bit after my haircut! Hope y'all have a great humpday!

Loving Now

1) I'm loving longer tunic-style shirts this winter...this Gap tunic is perfect & incredibly flattering. I also like the price at a little over $20. Via

2) This "Only Hearts" Racer Stripe Tank Dress looks so comfortable and is just form-fitting enough. I love the cut of this dress. Via

3) In my book, Nanette Lepore does no wrong.  This print is amazing, and the cut of the dress makes it very versatile. I love how the blue pops--You could appropriately wear this during any season of the year. Via

4) These Vince booties are different than any I own. I love the cut-out details around the ankle, and think they are very sleek. Via

5) This cross-body bag not only frees up your hands in convienience, but in this pale neutral beige, you could wear it with anything. I'm loving this Kate Spade page especially for Spring. Via

6) While it's snowing out here in Denver this morning, I am always dreaming of my next water-vacation! This La Blanca Island Goddess bikini is figure cutting, and also holds the girls up! I love this corral color especially (it will make your tan really stand out!). Via

7) These Aqua Cluster Stone Bib Necklaces are gorgeous. I would love to wear either color but I'm leaning towards the blue! It would look fantastic with a black sheath dress., or a t-shirt and jeans. Via

8) I also have to admit, while many other women are watching The Bachelor, I am getting into two new guilty pleasure shows: Crazy Hearts Nashville on A&E (I actually know one of the girls on the show--she went to a high school in my hometown), and Rich Kids of Beverly Hills on E! (which is obnoxious but too good to look away).

Have a great Tuesday! I'm having my girl friends over for Supper Club tonight at mi casa--we are eating vegetarian lasagna, pea, and salad!
